A COMMENT  IN REGARD TO THE MAP MANIFESTO

A PIECE WRITTEN BY TONI NEGRI IN ITALIAN 

This translation of Negri`s MAP Manifest from the Italian version allow us to see a very important turn in his intellectual trajectory looking firstly into the heuristic power of hegemony as a category able to take account of the planetary war of positions around and within modern democracy. 

This was a turning point that in the case of Negri began with his recovering of Spinoza`s thought, particularly, his intuitions around the new democracy in correspondence with the new labour forces. But there is also a new aspect actively incorporated in this piece, The Manifest, mathematics. Something that effectively happens with Marx in his developments within his critique of political economy those days. How not to do it? In regard to this topic, Negri writes this:

"It's not a problem with mathematics; it's a problem with power".

According to the latter, Negri concludes that "The MAP, Manifesto for an Accelerationist Politics", suggests as follows: "tle left must develop a sociotechnical hegemony towards post-capitalism," which means "to develop a complete set of cognitive labour productive possibilities to propose a new hegemony".

In dealing with these latter reflections Negri counts with his partner, Michael Hardt, originally and Engineer, acquainted with mathematics, logics and algorithms. Both will need a sort of combination between John Nash, Wiener and Zuckerberg to begin with. 

Nowadays is clear to me, that at his 80's Negri is capable to get rid of some prejudices that were parasiting his central task to think on and about current communism as a trend.
